Commented on Exploration Roadmap Materials Online
Its pretty sad that in some of these presentations, White Sands Test Facility is referred to White Sands Missile Range. NASA doesnt even know the name of its own centers/facilities?... -
Commented on NASA Hands Out Hand Sterilizers at an Education Conference.
The only "cool" swag I have given out were these spongy "stress balls" that were grey and shaped like the moon, and recently we gave out these aluminum flashlights with a bottle opener on the top. the rest was stickers... -

Commented on Virginia Vs Florida in Space
MARS is on Wallops FF, it is NOT something only from the state of Virginia. the MARS launchpads were designed/built by 3rd party contractors for Orbital, BUT they are being certified by NASA for use. and they do have major... -
Commented on Phobos-Grunt Mission Threatened
I really hope they can iron out any problems before hand and that the star tracker sensor is not the issue. I would be very interested in seeing the data from the Planetary Society's part of the craft. Very interesting.... -
Commented on Phobos-Grunt Mission Threatened
almost ironic...... -
Commented on New York's Deceptive Shuttle Bid
This is ridiculous. If after even this they still get the Enterprise, I will have lost all hope for NASA, and respect for Bolden. So many other places are ready to put the Enterprise up. To call this anything other... -

Commented on Dayton Uses New White House Online Petition Process To Get A Shuttle
I would rather the Enterprise go to Houston too, BUT I think a great idea would for the Enterprise to go on a rotation around various Museums in the US. But I think the Enterprise would look really nice in... -
Commented on Virginia's Invisible Spaceport (Updated)
The only way anybody is going to be launching from launch pad 0A any time soon is if they waiver the whole thing or stop trying to certify it to the NPD. Its a mess, too many hands only one... -
Commented on Florida's Sneaky Business Tactics
Having been to launch pad OA and seeing the NASA oversight, I can say it's pretty scary. But I guess thats what happens when a group of people who only know solids are thrown a liquid propellant launch facility and... -

Commented on An Amazing NASA Photo You Won't See on NASA.gov (Update)
that truly is an amazing photo. Looks surreal, its a shame that as you put it, it will not be more readily available or distributed. what can we say, it seems like more and more the "white badges" have become... -
Commented on SLS, Saturn V, And Ares V Color Schemes (Update)
If this new design uses internal insulation that would mean a design change from the ET on the STS stack. From previous reading I had been under the impression that this was basically Jupiter. I am willing to wager that... -
Commented on SLS, Saturn V, And Ares V Color Schemes (Update)

Commented on Houston Still Simmers over Shuttle Snub
@Jim taken better care of its Saturn V? Last time I was at JSC, the Saturn V was no longer just strewn about the lawn. Its now housed in a climate controlled building. I think its a great exhibit. Im... -

Commented on NASA OIG Review of NASA's Selection of Display Locations for the Space Shuttle Orbiters
If you read my comment, you will see I reference the layperson, many of the people I know asking me if NASA is "going out of business" because the Shuttle is gone. The common/average person has no idea that other... -
Commented on NASA OIG Review of NASA's Selection of Display Locations for the Space Shuttle Orbiters
As spaceman has stated, Im curious how many people will continue to visit KSC without its "Main attraction" I know Orlando is near by and space aficionados will continue to visit, but what about the "layman"... -
Commented on Progress Mission To ISS Fails
Just looked it up, and Soyuz U has 727 missions under its belt and only 19 failures (not sure if this flight was included) I'm curious how rigorous the launch checkouts are for the Progress launches compared to the TMA... -
Commented on Progress Mission To ISS Fails
@noofcsq they could share bits, BUT the FG is a design evolution of the U. But from what I have read the problem was the third stage light out, not a separation problem. I guess as more information surfaces we... -
Commented on Progress Mission To ISS Fails
The Soyuz-U (Progress) and the Soyuz TG (TMA missions) use a different 3rd stage if I remember correctly. I dont think TMA launches will be affected, but it would be smart to just take a look.... -
